Experienced international SaaS and platform leader joins to drive the next phase of growth at the GLEIF-accredited LEI Issuer

London, 27 October 2026. RapidLEI, the world’s largest GLEIF-accredited Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) Issuer, has appointed Steve Marritt as Managing Director. Marritt joins full time to lead the company’s next phase of growth, with responsibility for its overall operations, growth, compliance and strategic direction.

Marritt brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience building and scaling technology businesses across SaaS, fintech and digital platforms. His experience combines strategic direction, commercial growth and operational leadership, with a focus on developing business models, building teams and strengthening performance and governance. His career includes roles as global Chief Commercial Officer at Trustpilot, Managing Director of Groupon UK and Ireland, Chief Executive Officer of LivingSocial UK and Ireland, and Chief Revenue Officer at Info. At Trustpilot, he was part of the senior leadership team through the company’s 2021 listing on the London Stock Exchange.

In 2020, Marritt founded CROIQ, an executive leadership and advisory business supporting founders, boards and investors with strategy, growth and business transformation. Through CROIQ, he has held interim leadership roles as Chief Commercial Officer at CasaPay and Chief Executive Officer at Tector. At CasaPay, a London-based fintech, he focused on Open Banking payments and building practical AI workflows into property operations. At Tector, an IoT and AI company, he led the transition from a hardware-led offering to a platform-first intelligence model, refined its go-to-market strategy and strengthened governance. These assignments reflect his focus on applying technology and AI to build businesses, improve operations and create value for customers.

RapidLEI has been accredited by the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) since 2018. According to GLEIF’s Global LEI System statistics for September 2026, it manages more LEIs in issued status than any other LEI Issuer, at more than 345,000. Its platform uses automation to simplify LEI registration, renewal and transfer at scale. Through its EnterpriseLEI service and Validation Agent programme, banks, asset managers, fund administrators and KYB providers manage LEIs at portfolio scale to meet compliance obligations, and use verified organisation identity to onboard business clients faster and at lower cost, supporting trusted supply chains and cross-border trade. RapidLEI currently manages the majority of Validation Agents in the Global LEI System.

RapidLEI has grown to manage more issued LEIs than any other issuer through automation and a consistent focus on data quality. Our next phase is continuing to grow our enterprise and Validation Agent partnerships, expansion into new use cases and markets, and building on the operational and compliance standards that regulated institutions expect from identity infrastructure. Steve has led international businesses through that kind of growth, and his appointment adds senior operating depth as we scale.

Tom Edwards, Executive Chair, RapidLEI.

LEIs are now part of how financial institutions onboard clients, verify counterparties and process trusted payments, as well as how they meet reporting obligations. RapidLEI has the scale, the technology and the longevity in the Global LEI System (GLEIS) to serve that demand well. My priorities are ensuring excellent customer service for clients and partners, disciplined growth across enterprise and Validation Agent channels, and compliance standards that GLEIF, regulators and customers can rely on.

Steve Marritt, Managing Director, RapidLEI.

Marritt will report to the Ubisecure Board. Other recent additions to the organisation include Abilash Varghese as Head of Operations and James Draycott in the newly created senior role of Solution Architect. Varghese, who brings a banking background from HSBC, is responsible for operations, scalability, enterprise onboarding and client success.
