LEI Certificate: a sealed attestation of your LEI record
The LEI Certificate is a digitally signed certificate, only available to RapidLEI LEI holders. As the GLEIF-accredited issuer that verified your entity and publishes it to the Global LEI Index, the LEI Certificate confirms and attests to the reference data and status of your LEI.

More than a PDF: your issuer's signature
Your LEI data lives in the public Global LEI Index, and anyone can view or export it. The LEI Certificate does something a self-made PDF cannot: it carries RapidLEI's signature as the issuer that verified and published your record.
The signature is an electronic seal under eIDAS (EU Regulation No 910/2014), applied with a certificate on the Adobe Approved Trust List. When your counterparty opens the file, Adobe Reader confirms two things automatically: that RapidLEI issued it, and that it is unchanged since signing. Your counterparty, or whoever is relying on your LEI Certificate, is given that certainty.
