About RapidLEI – Our Story

In 2018, Ubisecure expanded our role in digital identity services by becoming a GLEIF-accredited Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) Issuer. We launched RapidLEI to make obtaining and managing LEIs faster, easier and more cost-effective.

The RapidLEI platform automates LEI registration and management, issuing LEIs in minutes and simplifying ongoing policy compliance. Through direct integration with official business registries, our automation delivers unmatched speed, data accuracy and reliability. As an accredited LEI Issuer, you register with the source and the custodian of the reference data, not a reseller.

Today, RapidLEI is trusted by banks, KYB solutions, trust service providers and fintech platforms around the world. As adoption grows, the LEI is evolving beyond its regulatory roots to power onboarding, Know Your Business (KYB) and digital identity verification.

By removing barriers to LEI issuance, RapidLEI is helping realise the GLEIF’s global vision of a single trusted organisation identity, driving transparency, trust and efficiency across financial and digital ecosystems.

RapidLEI by the numbers

RapidLEI manages over 450,000 Legal Entity Identifiers worldwide, more than any other issuer.
We became the largest LEI Issuer globally in 2022 and hold a leading Policy Conformity Flag across all issuers.

GLEIF-Accredited and ISO 27001 Certified

RapidLEI maintains close Partnerships with regulators, banks, registries, trust service providers and identity data brokers. This ensures accelerated LEI issuance and high data quality standards.

The Global LEI Foundation (GLEIF) was established by the G20 and Financial Stability Board (FSB) in June 2014 and is regulated by the LEI Regulatory Oversight Committee (LEI-ROC). The GLEIF is tasked to support the implementation and use of the Legal Entity Identifier.

RapidLEI supports GLEIF initiatives such as the Validation Agent framework and the verifiable LEI (vLEI).

Accredited Legal Entity Identifier LEI Issuers are authorised to issue LEIs to legal entities. Ubisecure RapidLEI has been an accredited LEI Issuer since 2018 and custodian of LEI reference data.

Yes. RapidLEI has been accredited by the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) since 2018 and is the custodian of its own LEI reference data. It is a direct LEI Issuer, not an intermediary.

According to GLEIF issued statistics, in June 2026 RapidLEI manages over 450,000 LEIs and has been the largest LEI Issuer globally by volume since 2022.

LEIs are issued in minutes. RapidLEI integrates directly with official business registries to automate validation, which removes the delays common with manual issuers.

An LEI is required under regulations including MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, DORA and the EU Instant Payments Regulation, and under CFTC and SEC rules in the US, among 300+ regulatory use cases globally.

Yes. Transfers happen within GLEIF rules with no gap in coverage, and portfolios held across multiple issuers can be consolidated into one account.
